Customers in Surrey and South West London won’t find a more highly reputable Carpet Cleaning company

Touch Dry Restoration takes pride in its professionalism and expertise in carpet and upholstery cleaning, as the company has had its staff trained with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning Restoration Certification (IICRC), achieving a general certification rate of 92%. A trusted Scotchgard Carpet and Upholstery service is also available through Touch Dry Restoration.

Having undertaken carpet cleaning and fabric care restoration training at the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), Touch Dry Restoration's technicians have passed exams with evaluation in carpet and upholstery construction, fibres, dyes, chemistry, cleaning methods, advanced stain removal, risk assessment, problem awareness, problem solvers and health and safety. It is with this expertise backed by our credentials, proof of adequate insurance cover that Touch Dry Restoration have qualified and been accepted as members of the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA).

The fact is that even our most highly regarded competitor whom works for 'Her Majesty the Queen' does not carry out the pre-treatment, use the tools and equipment and take the time that Touch Dry Restoration do with each stage of the cleaning process, which is how we achieve the results we do. Furthermore, we are not nearly as expensive.

So if you want honesty, integrity, and the best results, Touch Dry Restoration is definitely the carpet and upholstery cleaning company for you. You won't find Touch Dry Restoration to be cheap, but you won't find them too expensive either, not for what you will receive in terms of the quality workmanship, the care of their service delivery and the overall customer experience.

Our Wet Cleaning Process / Steam Cleaning Service

It’s important to understand that carpets and upholstery cannot be steam cleaned properly or safely without the following procedures:
  1. Pre-treatment of heavy traffic areas applied by pre-spray
  2. Agitation of pre-treatment to drive the agents deep into the pile, releasing the dirt from the base of the fibres
  3. Pre-treatment and agitation of marks and stains
  4. Thorough Extraction (water and soil)
  5. Raking of the pile – to assist with drying
  6. Touch-Dry use 'air movers' for fast drying
In order to get the best results possible on both lightly and heavily soiled carpets, following the above steps, the process - even when performed with the best equipment - can often take 2-5 times longer to be carried out than most companies are willing to spend. Not surprising when many are charging on average £20 to £30 per room/area. Be aware of rogue carpet cleaners that spend very little time spraying the carpet and brushing before they steam clean or - even worse - those companies that will skip parts of the process altogether. In all cases, they will remove not even 50% of the soil from your fabric. Much of the soil is ingrained and dulls the brightness as opposed to looking visibly dirty per se. In addition, they are likely to leave the fabrics very wet, taking them up to 2 days to dry, after which spots and stains may re-appear. If they have skipped much of the above, but have nevertheless managed to improve the carpet's appearance by removing spots or get the carpet or upholstery to look visibly cleaner, it is highly likely that they have used very harsh chemicals to speed up their work and is very likely indeed that they have failed to neutralise the carpet’s pH, which will damage wool fibres causing them to wear out prematurely. Absence of the proper processes may also cause brown stains to appear (cellulosic browning). Not only do these problems defeat the purpose of cleaning, they will also affect the air quality in your home and cost you, the customer, a lot more money in the long run.
Services

At the very least you should always use a Member of the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA) or Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)

We recommend that you always use a company which is a member of the National Carpet Cleaner Association (NCCA) or Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), as this is the only way to ensure you have a reasonably knowledgeable technician that is also fully insured. You can find a list of members on the National Carpet Cleaner Association (NCCA)'s or Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)'s website. Ideally there should be more than one operator on the job, especially if there is a lot of furniture to be moved and / or if the job comprises 2 reasonably sized rooms or more.
